(July 2024) In the last few years, I have been inspired by bigger-than-life characters. Some are dead (Ramanujan, Krishnamacharya, etc) and those still alive, I probably will not get to meet (Joe Rogan, Elon Musk, Jordan Peterson, Edward Witten, Leonard Susskind, etc.). The closest I will ever come to know them is through their work and appearances - books, podcasts, interviews, pdf, etc. By reading about them, I feel like I also got a personal time with them, seeing through their lenses, learning from their experience and getting a point-of-view of their perspective. I find that so enriching.
(May 2017) I used to limit this section to fabulous people. But hey, I'd like to feature people I met along the way whether fabulous or just people. Peoplescape make up the social fabric I tread on. Perhaps the person is interesting...perhaps the conversation was interesting...perhaps the encounter was memorable.
(May 2006) I'm beginning to write about people I haven't seen in years. Creating a "Peoplescape" section is timely. It paves the way to focus more on the people I've met (or read about) along the way instead of inserting them as a snippet in a blog. They deserve their own story. Like I always say, the next magnificent life I'll meet is just around the bend.
