Mayan Calendar Readings by Vasumi

Meeting at Soma Cafe
I met Vasumi at Soma Cafe in a gathering hosted my Manila friends Francesca and Lee. She works with the Mayan calendar to make sense of everything that's shaping up the planet and more specifically, to present a blueprint for a person's cosmic-bearing. It would be similar to astrology, but instead of using the Gregorian calendar for guidance, she uses the Mayan calendar. After all the hype of the 2012 end-of-the-world prediction based on the Mayan calendar, I was curious and asked to join a gathering where she conducts individual readings.

Vijay
During that initial meeting, everyone gave out our birthdays and from that, she determined our 'sign'. Surprisingly, one of the people in the circle, Vijay, a lovely Indian lady, had exactly the same sign as me - the yellow warrior dragon. Vasumi said the odds of finding one with the same sign is 260-1. She added that cosmically, Vijay and I are compatible in many ways and that we are very similar in the way we see and do things. She advised that me and Vijay get to know each other more. I took her counsel under advicement and extended myself to Vijay, exchanging Facebook info, inviting for a coffee meet-up, etc., curious if there is any kind of synergy out there that would validate Vasumi's reading.

The Readings
I was invited by Vasumi to participate in her upcoming readings, to which I did. There were new faces on the circle, and lo and behold, Vijay was also there. Vasumi said I have just completed a 13-year cycle to which I have learned and gained a lot of life experience. She further added that I am now starting a new 13-year cycle which may change my scene completely, but still anchored to all the lessons and wisdom I've gained from the past. Her analogy is like living a full enriched life (the 13-year cycle), dying and reincarnating to start a whole new life with all the karmic assets and liabilities from the previous life (start of another 13-year cycle).

There were a few things that happened in Penang (Malaysia) that somehow gave me a glimpse of change that may be forthcoming...and yes, it's about leveling-up. Perhaps I am indeed poised for a major change. We'll see.

Ending Thoughts
The Mayan calendar is an elegant attempt by humankind to put order and sense into our existence and our place within the universe at large. Some in search of answers gravitate to the heavens perhaps to hear something they need validation from. Whether they get the truth, emotional solace or psychological well-being, the heavens are always there for the taking.
