June 11, 2004 Friday Workout Lats (pull up and rows), biceps I barely had enough time to review my Spanish and do my French assignment before my class started. I had tapsilog at the Shopping Center and later went to an internet shop to do research on citizenship. It appears that in some countries, citizenship training is serious business. I didn't really finish my research, but I have a better idea now. I went home to rest as usual but couldn't sleep. Mayu I texted Mayu and we agreed to meet at Starbucks. It took some doing to get there using TJ's car, but I finally got there. After having tête-à-tête over coffee, we went to Gerry's for some Filipino food. The grilled squid, kinilaw na Tanigue and San Miguel beer were a blast. In our conversation, I was given a glimpse of Mayu as an adventurer in search of an adventure. I talked about my adventure in the desert and immediately, she asked, "Burning Man?". Apparently, she has friends who've been there and she's contemplating on being there herself one day. That common denominator broke the barrier and put the guard down. It was all-good from there on. We went to her apartment for me to show her my Burning Man story on my website.
