January 1, 2003 Wednesday Brunch with Emylee With her scheduled family trip to South America in 2 days, I'm just glad my friend Emylee found time to have a leisurely brunch with me at Marché, a market-style restaurant serving fresh pasta, seafood, pizza, steaks and sushi. Service is always friendly and if you get lucky, the server puts a little extra on your plate <G>. Emylee was beautiful as ever with her all-red signature color. We talked about human dynamics as it pertains to people close to her - best friends, soul mate and social circle. It's always interesting to hear her thoughts. Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets I found this better than the first with a good story line and well-developed characters. As Emylee puts it, it's not as kiddy. Some moments were intense with good special effects. This one is for the big screen. Video simply won't cut it. Dragon Center After dropping off Emylee, I had time to treat myself to a bang-for-the-buck seafood noodle soup and deep-fried squid at Dragon Center, a Chinese mini-mall with restaurants serving hot and satisfying meals. I used to have this often when I was still living in Scarborough. Now is as good as it gets to indulge. The Kids and me Time to bond with my kids who happen to be at my cousin's new digs. I can't think of a better way to end the year's first day than being with them with all the hugs and kisses.
