September 23, 2002 Monday It's my good friend Julia's birthday (in the Philippines) but efforts to personally greet her was in vain. Well, I tried. Workout Did butterflies on the pecs. Minimal stretching with no cardio this time. I would be disappointed if my pecs don't hurt in 2 days. My abs are still a bit sore from Friday's workout with Angie, and I see her pumping on her abs while I rest mine. The woman is a machine. Second Cup Because of my extended hours last Friday, I left work at 4PM and headed out to the
outdoor patio of Second Cup to study for my French class at 5:30PM. There I was pronouncing phrases and words and internalizing the whole language. Makes me think of the time I was in Paris looking at the outdoor cafes and envisioning myself being there with a laptop coding web pages for clients half-way around the world. It's really neat to leverage the internet in that regard - you can get an off-site contract, roam the world, chill in a café and code some kick-ass pages for clients you're not likely to ever see.
