October 4, 2002 Friday Workout none....argh! Manitou Fork I headed to Sporting Life after wunder-mechanic Brian Spargo advised me that my fork is ready for pickup. Not only did he replace the broken part, he also customized the preload section to provide a more robust and bomb proof componentry. With his signature on the fork, confidence is high it will deliver on the trails. I wish I could chill at the Yonge / Eglinton area but I had to go back. Giant Bike I went to CyclePath to leave Darryl the fork, went home to get the Titec handlebar, and picked up my kids (and bike) to go back to CyclePath for the final assembly of the components. Because the rigid fork was being replaced with a suspension fork, we also needed to install a few more unforseen parts (read: unexpected additional expense). Store manager Darryl and his lovely wife once again shown through with the best parts at rock bottom prices - negative rise Bontrager stem and Crane Creek headset. These high-performance parts are a lot better than what I have on my bike! That's a very nice bike for a 10 year old. With my daughter's eagerness to use the bike, we all had to walk home
so she can ride it. She has nothing but praise.
