Philippine Connection - July 17, 2002 Wednesday Tita Babes' Birthday I skipped my morning workout to give my aching body a much needed rest from yesterday's exercise. Not having anything to do, I tagged along with Dad to his dentist, stopping by "Aresi" to checkout the place prior to the planned meeting with Rizabel, a former classmate from my freshman days at UP who's happily married to a diplomat stationed close to home - Ottawa, Canada. It seems like the heavy rains caused an outbreak of amoebiasis prompting her to work overtime dealing with press issues. Instead, I tagged along further to Tita Babes' birthday celebration at Valle Verde Country Club where I helped myself to a generous serving of the popular 'merienda' snack, Halo-halo.
