a nomad in search of... | |
December 27, 2002 Friday An Untimely Moment? Very much like goodwill, moments are one of the very few things in this universe that's beyond reproach. It's its own raison d'etre, a sense of arrival (in the here-and-now sense of the word), or even Holy Grail. Therefore I find it surprising that a recipient might be a reluctant participant...for whatever reason, including timing. Afterall, a moment's spontaneity is one of its most alluring attribute. But human diversity is an enigmatic black hole unto itself - something so mired in complexity it defies analysis. We always come with our own baggage about things we struggle with...perceived or real. Corollarily, diversity can also be its own reason for celebration. Good things come in full circle...a looming friendship....a fleeting moment....a reluctant participant....a vacuum...renewed friendship - all that with promise of good times ahead to top it all. With the coming turn of the year, the air is full of optimism - human connection to be explored, resolutions to be proclaimed (with or without an audience), new boundaries to be pushed, ties to be renewed, etc. It's all looking good.
