lucid thoughts

The Morning After

I arrived home from the Midnight Sun at around 8AM feeling very sleepy. I'm glad my kids are still asleep. I tucked myself beside them feeling the comfort of being where I know I belong. Even after waking up, I was still spaced out. My body is not used to partying until the morning and thus not being able to do my weekend yoga. But it's really worth it. A magical moment is its own reward and sometimes, it comes with a price tag...albeit, a cheap one for now.

I made nice with my kids by making brownies. Actually, they made it. It's part of our bonding process where we engage in a collective activity and carry on a conversation.

Enigma

I took my kids back to their mother's home and proceeded to the office where to my delight, I saw 2 Enigma cds ( The Cross of Changes and Le Roi Est Mort) on my desk, courtesy of my colleague, Aggy. After having listened to my only cd of Enigma, their debut album MCMXC A.D. for the nth time, and being taken by its sheer allure, I'm now a firm believer. Their seamless amalgamation of ambient trance with Gregorian chants is a mood evoking ethereal experience rich with cascading sensory imagery. The two albums have carried on that benchmark perfection.
