April 15, 2003 Tuesday Project: Code Overhaul - anniversary It was the anniversary of project: code overhaul. The project was an exercise in bad project management that reduced the once proud and mighty E-business Department into a mickey mouse joke. I'm surprised they're even celebrating it. But hey, I'm not one to complain about free pizza in an outdoor setting. It doesn't happen everyday so I thought I'd move my regular workout for some bite. The weather was the best reason to be outdoors. It was a perfect 25 degrees with a lot of sun. Just a week ago, the place was covered in snow and now, the perfect wear is a tank top. Still Pissed Aggy is conspicuously absent after getting hammered yesterday at Milestones. I'm still pissed at what transpired yesterday...which makes me wonder. Perhaps I valued the relationship too much to just walk away. But staying would only make me feel a bigger loser/sucker. I have to cut the ties and cut clean. First move was to cancel my partner yoga sessions with her. I'll leave her with her bike concerns as well - fork tuning, foam wrapping, front wheel play fix, lock purchase, etc. When her contract expires and she won't be here anymore, things would be much better to deal with - out of sight, out of mind.
