a nomad in search of... | |
November 20, 2002 Wednesday Lunch at Sakura I had an unplanned lunch with a new member of the content team who'll be with us for the short term. We tried Sakura, a Japanese restaurant close to Sheppard and Yonge. I had eel...and just like the first eel I ever ordered when I was in Vancouver, this one did not disappoint. Likewise, my lunch partner enjoyed her tempura. According to her, it's better than average. For somebody who seems to know Japanese food, the statement goes a long way. While I enjoy the festive atmosphere of eating out with a group, I also miss the intimacy of a one-on-one conversation over a good meal - especially intelligent conversation. The lingering thought I have is talking about lofty lives...people who have managed to transcend beyond the mundane on-goings of daily existence.
