Philippine Connection - July 7, 2002 Sunday Manila Arrival I took my connecting flight to Manila from Tokyo after a few hours of layover time. I tried to get some sleep in the plane but there was just too much excitement going on inside my head. After 13 long years, I'd see the Philippines again. Upon arrival at the airport, despite the delay and wait for the luggage, I noticed that it wasn't a zoo like it has always been. People picking up passengers are not allowed inside anymore - that's more like it. I first see Dad and then TJ. It didn't seem like they changed a lot. It was raining cats and dogs, and it's been like that for a good week, from what I hear. It didn't matter. I was back. The road trip to Xavierville was unfamiliar except for a few landmarks.
