Karen's Lunch Treat

Karen sends out an email saying, "Every one of you has more than admirably stepped up to the plate to keep our site looking as good as humanly possible given the circumstances.....I'd like to treat you to lunch sometime next week".

She's actually referring to the time I was away when the level of confusion and frustration within the team was at its pinnacle due to a project that simply wouldn't fly off the ground. Well, it's still happening as I write this but I feel like some freeloader getting a free lunch for nothing. A corporate lunch no matter how expensive is no biggie. However, I don't think she can expense this lunch. So it's a good $200 out of her pocket on this one.

She took us to Milestones, a pricey and trendy restaurant across the street. The whole content team was there. Food was excellent - presentation wise and quality wise. Service is pleasant and cheerful...did I say aesthetically pleasing as well? What can I say? Thanks, Karen.
