FAQ / Submit a Paid Full-Feature Winery
There are other California wine directory websites out there. Why should I list my wine here?
California Wine Insider can dramatically increase your sales. This is achieved in the following ways:
- hand-coded search-engine-optimized (SEO) webpage to make it rank higher in Google and Yahoo. More users see your establishment and web traffic is redirected to your webpage.
- a very comprehensive webpage which includes a picture gallery (8 max), essential information, customized Google mapping, user comment (10 max), third-party reviews, etc. It answers most questions clients are already thinking.
- a clean, uncluttered, professional-looking webpage with enhanced usability. Even a grandmother can navigate through it.
- user comments will be filtered and manually uploaded. This ensures correct spelling, grammar, soundness, etc. (up to 10 comments). This feature provides transparency and develops community amongst your clientele.
How important is search engine optimization?
According to Google, 82% of web traffic comes from search engines. It means if your site is not search engine optimized, for every web-based revenue of $18, you're actually losing $82 in potential revenue.
Do you guarantee a #1 spot in Google for my webpage?
No. And nobody can make that guarantee, no matter what they claim. However, the SEO employed on this site has been proven effective and successful.
How come you don't have a domain name like www.californiawine.com?
Good point. Since the target audience are search-engine users, this site does not rely on 'casual walk-ins'. The more important thing is to have every listing search-engine optimized to rank high on Google's results page using your keywords. It makes your winery more visible on the internet. This drives more traffic and consequently, increased sales.
What's your rate for posting my business?
Soft launch promotional rate: $100.00 for one year minimum, net of bank charges. (instead of $300 listed below)
US$300 for one year minimum, net of bank charges.
Ok, I'm sold. What do I do now?
- Email your website address. The information there will be used to develop your webpage. When the final look is done, you will receive a blind url (it means it's not linked from the homepage and nobody can see it, not even the search engine robots) so you can see how it looks.
- If you agree on the final look, deposit full payment to a bank account that will be emailed to you.
- Once the bank confirms payment, your webpage goes live.
