I'd been traveling as a nomad for many years covering 18 countries. In the last 7 years, I gave up home entirely to fully commit myself to a life of travel - with no steady job, no money in the bank and no property. I'd been winging my way through life. I've stayed in luxurious resorts and I've slept on my hammock on a roadside - and everything in between. I've gone through nightmare scenarios - midnight border crossings, scammed, detained by immigration, slammed my face on a cliff dive, threatened with violence, stayed 29 hours in an airport, etc. But I've also experienced pure bliss - meeting magnificent lives, swimming side by side with a turtle as big as me in the wild, reaching 18m on a single breath, summitting the highest peak in the Philippines, meditating for 10 days, etc. I've immersed myself in cultures different from mine, meeting people who don't look like me, who worship Gods alien to me and speak a language foreign to my ears. This has been my landscape - a world of animation, color and dimension that is both enriching and unpredictable.
People often tell me they want to live my life but don't know how to get started.
