above the trench where whirlpools occur, it was calm. Reluctantly, Kapitan and Kagawad allowed me to make a few dives. I was always curious just what lies beneath these deep waters that would cause whirlpools. Yes, it was deep, I couldn't see the bottom, but the side walls were thick with corals and marine life...whoa!
