Climbing Mt. Kanlaon: Aug. 22-25, 2010 / mtkanlaon1

It was time to put tobacco to the test. Does it really ward off limatiks (blood sucking leeches)? or is it urban legend? I soaked my climbing clothes in tobacco solution and occassionally applied the solution to my body while climbing. Result? While others had limatik episodes, I had none. However, the climb wasn't exactly limatik infestation. Maybe it's best to try it on Mt. Banahaw or Mt. Halcon where limatiks are more abundant and ferocious.
