Cheese Conversation
When Pinky talked about locally made cheese in the European tradition, she got my attention. I thought European-style cheese would have to be imported. This was news to me. When she arranged for wine and cheese tasting with the cheese artisan, Olive Puentespina, I was quick to raise my hand to join.

Malagos Farm House
If there is one thing I miss about North America (or Europe for that matter), is the wide assortment and availability of cheese. Of course they can be had here in the Philippines at some high-end deli, but at an arm and a leg. Besides, I've never seen Asiago here - my all time fav. I was really interested to check this Malagos Farm House. With Joanna and Neng, I tagged along for this epicurean indulgence.

Olive Puentepina
I had an engaging conversation with cheese maker Olive Puentespina about her craft. I haven't met any cheese maker before. I had too many questions I was probably chewing her ear off. But she was patient with me. I ribbed her about working at Malagos, not for money, but for cheese and wine - she gave me a polite smile. ha!

Cheese and Wine
Pinky, Joanna (both from the yoga gym) and Neng were equally indulgent with the cheese and wine, We tried the dip, the Racklett-type cast iron heating, topping baguette with cheese, washing the food down with Cabernet Sauvingon, etc. I was a kid lost in a toy store. My smile was surgical from ear to ear. There must be a God!

Thank you Pinky for taking me along. Thank you Olive for being. Thank you Joanna and Neng for being foodie fab. Obviously, I'm still having fun as I write this.
