Bugnay Village - this is the village where
Fr. Balweg was gunned-down by
Marcos' military goons during the turbulent 70's when Marcos planned on
flooding the Kalinga valley to build a dam. Fighting ensued between the Kalingas and the military. The Kalingas joined forces with the
New People's Army and their combined might thwarted Marcos' dam project.
