Dinner at SteveMay 31, 2006 Wednesday

Dinner at Steve's

I met Steven Rogers in Sagada last year while having kick-ass sinigang at Sudimay in Sagada. After we talked, I thought I had him figured out - kayaker-turned-mountain biker just so he could spend more time with his son Joey, who's an accomplished downhill daredevil. Wow! What a dad. It was small talk and it ended with that. Later on, I'd hear about him from the Baguio and Sabac riders.

Dinner at Steve

Fast-forward to today, Mimsy and I get an invite for dinner at his place. He cooks? Siegrid says Steve makes excellent seafood dishes. Villia claims his seafood bisque is out of this world. Wow...we've just been here a few days and already we get invited to sumptuous dinners by people we hardly know...cool!

Man of Many Hats
Mountain biker, kayaker, and now chef. I wonder how many more hats he wears. Above all that, what impresses me most about Steve is how he bonds with his kids. He's one cool dad who hangs-out and spends quality time with them...one of the few things I miss.
